We are loving our miniature llamas!  We have Momma llama, her daughter, Dolly llama and we have recently welcomed Barak-O llama (no religious or political affiliations intended). Each llama has their own personality.  They are excellent guardians for our goats. Momma llama was raised in an all llama herd. She isn’t much for the human connection…so far… but maybe we will prove trustworthy one day. However, we love the protective nature that Momma llama has toward her goats. She sounds the alarm and they all run back to the barn. Dolly is beginning to show her protective bonds. She even seems to have pep talks with the goats…not that the goats care to listen. Dolly has grown up and is almost the same size as her momma. We are now working to earn Barak-O’s trust. They have been so sweet to work with and are learning to trust us more each day.
